This article introduces the different parts of the Player Token Setup page to help you find your way around the Wowza Video user interface.
You're required to create a player token if you don't want to deploy the iframe or Javascript embed codes generated by Wowza Video that are available when you share a video, live stream, or playlist, but intend to set up a Javascript based setup. The token authorizes use of the player.
- Name – A short, descriptive identifier for the player token that differentiates it from other player tokens (maximum 255 characters).
- Domain Restriction 1 and 2 – Up to two domains that restrict the token to be usable only on the domain(s) you choose. If you don't enter a domain, the token is usable anywhere. The domain restriction is encoded into the token and can't be changed after it's created.
Manual JS setup with hosted configurations
You can use the managed player configurations (and platform mediaids) with manual Javascript setups by using the Wowza Video integration plugin.
