This article introduces the different parts of the Player Token Details page to help you find your way around the Wowza Video user interface.
You're required to create a player token if you don't want to deploy the iframe or Javascript embed codes generated by Wowza Video that are available when you share a video, live stream, or playlist, but intend to set up a Javascript based setup. The token authorizes use of the player.
You can also revoke a token through the Player Token Details page which immediately disables all embedded players using the token.
- Token – The actual token string. You can hover over the token, then click to copy it to your clipboard.
- Restricted to domains – A list of up to two domains that restrict the token to be usable only on the those domains. If you didn't enter a domain, No Domain Restriction displays. The token and cannot be changed after it's created.
- Name – A short, descriptive identifier for the player token that differentiates it from other player tokens (maximum 255 characters). You can edit this field.
- Revoke token – Revokes the token. Once revoked, the date and time the token was revoked is displayed.
Manual JS setup with hosted configurations
You can use the managed player configurations (and platform mediaids) with manual Javascript setups by using the Wowza Video integration plugin.
