Next Step: Download the Installer
Select the appropriate installer to download, run the executable, and, when prompted, enter the license key you received in your email (hint: check the spam folder, too).
Windows
To install:
- Double-click the WowzaStreamingEngine-4.8.20+1-windows-installer.exe installer file and follow the onscreen instructions.
- To run Wowza™ Transcoder on Windows Server 2008 or 2012 the following components are required:
.NET Framework 3.5.1
Desktop Experience
Mac
To install:
- Open WowzaStreamingEngine-4.8.20+1-osx-installer.dmg.
- Double-click the installer package icon and follow the onscreen instructions.
Linux 64-bit
To install:
- sudo chmod +x WowzaStreamingEngine-4.8.20+1-linux-x64-installer.run.
- sudo ./WowzaStreamingEngine-4.8.20+1-linux-x64-installer.run.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
Get a Wowza Streamlock SSL Certificate
If you plan on streaming with WebRTC or Apple Low-Latency HLS, apply for a StreamLock SSL certificate or bring your own.
