Worship Market Honors Wowza With New Product Technology Award for Second Year in a Row
Evergreen, Colo. — November 10, 2011—Wowza Media Systems, Inc., the “Any Screen Done Right™” media server software company, today announced that its Wowza Media Server® 3 has won the 2011 Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX) New Product Technology Award for Best Podcasting, Webcasting, and Website Streaming Media Solution. This accolade follows a 2010 win in the same category with the previous edition of the media server software.
“Lower costs and new, more easily accessible technology make it possible for houses of worship of any size to expand their communities and spread their messages anywhere 24/7 through online video distribution,” said Dave Stubenvoll, Wowza CEO and co-founder. “This award shows us that more and more churches are using the power of streaming media, and we’re honored that members of the WFX community are embracing Wowza software to help them do it.”
Winners of the New Product Technology Awards were chosen by editors from Worship Facilities Magazine, Church Production Magazine, and Worship Facility Designer; as well as by distinguished members of the WFX advisory board and WFX management. Wowza’s WFX win comes on the heels of two more top awards in the Streaming Media European Readers' Choice competition.
