Create your own connections to publish live streaming content anywhere
Wowza Streaming Engine provides integrated connections to many popular destinations including Facebook, YouTube, and CDNs such as Akamai and Limelight. Thousands of our customers publish to these destinations, but more and more people want to scale their publishing to still more (sometimes niche) locations. With this release customers now have the ability to create a generic stream target that receives an Apple HLS stream from Wowza Streaming Engine. This feature is aimed at developers who want to do the following:
- Send HLS streams to destinations using any desired path and/or communications protocol
- Modify and customize the playlist and chunks using the Java API
